Some of the best music has been made for the screen, while other music makes our own reality the film. Up next to bat for Thema Digital Series comes Dold, an up-and-coming producer and label owner from Sweden who imbues his music with a sense of sci-fi horror cinematics. His new EP for us, “Suspended On Broken Dreams”, is a statement of certain uncertainty, an exploration of how far one can go running on an empty tank. Equal parts orchestral and analog, he creates a refined drama that lifts us out of our daily lives and into something supernatural. With an impressive slew of records already released on MindTrip, Float, and his own Arsenik imprint, it is clear that Dold will continue making strides forward with his uncanny ability to craft unforgettable sonic environments.
