Creating a fresh take on Dub Techno is no easy feat, and it’s something we have generally steered away from at Thema. However sometimes material comes to us that is so rich, warm, and inviting that we feel we have an obligation to share it with the world. Such is the case with these five new creations spawned from Module One, a.k.a. Victor Kiktenko, an upcoming name from Russia who has been quietly working away for years now with releases on labels like Detroit Underground, Motech, and Labrynth. His sound is characterized by immaculate attention to detail that seems entirely effortless, allowing the listener to be completely enveloped in the intricacies of the rhythm and timbre. This is no boring loop music, but rather a manifestation of the true spirit of Dub Techno – music that enables you to get lostin and endless atmosphere.
