Summertime and slamming Techno never seem to go out of style here here in Brooklyn even in the blistering heat, and with that in mind, for our next digital drop we present Hooved, an established Italian producer of tech-house and deep house with a significant discography dating back a few years now. Of the many labels he’s already released on, Arnaud le Texier and James Warren’s Safari Electronique, an Atcha sublabel, London’s Apparel Music, and Alessio Mereu’s Amam are the most established, but then we wouldn’t really expect these kind of exotic, wandering grooves from more obvious sources. Rather, we’re captivated by his fusion of minimal tropes with much more adventurous sonic material and also by the lively, jump up feeling of his music. It’s something that spells rooftops and Sunday afternoons to us, and we’re happy to have it as the latest listening for THEMA’s followers.
