Christoph Vogel and Levente Pavelka make House music. Under the name Suburb, these two young producers from Neumeunster, Germany craft elegant music in the spirit of nearby Hamburg. Listening to the body of work that we’ve heard, there was a sense that making great music for this duo was simply natural. There is an ease with which all their ideas gel together into something that is functional, streamlined, physically moving, and fully engaging. Call it osmosis: Suburb seems to have taken their name to heart and absorbed the radiating moodiness and dance floor savvy of the nearby metropolis that’s so famous for it’s measured take on the American House tradition. You’ll hear that they bring a little something of their own as well—something more uplifting that transcends the cold gray climate they inhabit, rather than merely reflecting it. This is their debut release, and we’re ecstatic to be introducing their music to the world for all to bask in the warmth that they exude.
